Security sources told "Amaq" agency that the Islamic State fighters stormed last Wednesday evening the Christian village of "Mkundi" located on the "Butembo-Beni" road. The sources added that the fighters targeted Christian gatherings inside the village simultaneously with firearms and knives, which resulted in at least 35 deaths and the injury of others. The sources pointed out that the fighters burned the homes and properties of the Christians inside the village and seized some of them before they left to return to their positions.
